1. The service
This website allows you to submit a vehicle-rental request for review by Riviera Rentals. Submitting a request does not create a confirmed rental, a reservation of a vehicle, or a binding price. A rental is formed only when both parties agree the final rental conditions in writing.
2. Requests and confirmation
Each request is reviewed manually. We may accept, decline, or return a request with questions. Availability, eligibility, price, deposit, mileage, delivery charge, permitted countries and cancellation terms are confirmed in the final rental documents, not on this website.
3. Driver eligibility
You must hold a valid driving licence accepted for use in Switzerland and meet any vehicle-specific minimum age and experience conditions. You agree to provide accurate information about the actual driver. We may decline a request where eligibility, documents or route cannot be verified.
4. Delivery and collection
Delivery and collection points, timing and any charges are reviewed for each request. Indicative charges shown on the site are not final. You agree to be reachable at the contact details supplied and to be present, or to have an authorised person present, at the agreed handover.
5. Deposit and payment
A security deposit may be required; its amount, payment method and release process are set out in the final rental documents and are separate from the rental price. Rental charges are due according to the conditions confirmed in writing.
6. Use of the vehicle
The vehicle must be used lawfully, by the approved driver only, within any permitted countries and mileage, and in accordance with the final rental terms. You are responsible for traffic offences, tolls, parking and any damage caused during the rental period.
7. Cancellation and changes
Cancellation, extension and change conditions are governed by the final rental documents. Some changes may not be possible at short notice or may affect price and availability.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with this website and an unconfirmed request is limited. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law.
9. Applicable law
These terms and any rental formed from a request are governed by Swiss law, unless the final rental documents state otherwise. The competent courts are as indicated in the Legal notice, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version applicable to a request is the one in force when the request is submitted.
